Replace Graphics card for iMac Intel 27

I was told by a Tech at Apple Service Center that is possible to replace the Graphics card for iMac 24 and 27. But the price for the Graphics card they quote was quite expensive, any where else to buy Apple parts for iMac 27?

I'm looking for :

ATI Radeon HD 5750 graphics processor with 1GB of GDDR5

Answer this question I have this problem too

Officially, Apple provides some models with upgraded video options at the time of purchase, but the video is not intended to be upgraded by a third-party. However, based on disassembly photos, teardowns, and guides it appears that some models have the video mounted on its own card and it is theoretically upgradable in these systems.

I doubt the video cards in the 24" and 27" models are compatible with each other, but I've seen the two video cards that come with the quad core 27" and they're physically identical. since they both use the MXM bus, there's no reason they shouldn't work. Not worth voiding the warranty though!

you can upgrade 2010 imacs to 6970m video card. the only problem is that the card costs almost as much as the computer.
