sound split between headphones and built in speaker

History

Has anyone had any problems with their music coming through the headphones and the external speaker(built in speaker at the same time. I am getting sound through my headphones but it is really weak and the external speaker(built in speaker) is playing even though the headphones are plugged in. Any suggestions on how to stop this?

sounds like a fluid damage to me. the signal goes both ways - i don't know if this is fixable on the 4g iPod. a working headphone jack isn't to expensive - simply click on the link to the parts on the right side and choose your the part for your model
