Ram need to be same company?

hi if i buy the imac 27 with stock RAM (4GB) and i want to upgrade to 8, the additional 4GB of Ram do they need to be from the same company as the original? or can they be Kingston, Corsair, Samsung?

They will explain all necessary- the RAM can be any company as long as it meets the requirements.

RAM is largely a commodity. Manufacturer isn't important, as long as it's from a reputable source.

I might be overly picky, but I always stick with Samsung, and I never have problems with it.
