Trying to retrieve information from an IDE drive

How can i put my IDE hard drive in another IDE compatible computer to retrieve the information? I know how to install it into the tower, but i cant see whats on the hard drive. I can also see it on the Device list but dont know what to do after that? Any help??

With IDE, you have to set master or slaves. If the old drive is on the same cable as the new drive, you must set the jumpers on the back of the drive to either master for new one, slave for old one; OR set it to Cable select, in which case, you need to put the new drive on the end of the cable, old drive in the middle cable port.
