I think they wont repair.

It is too hard to open back plate you can damage the cover it wont completely close after repair it.

I would just Google "iPod repair." That iTronics place fixes them, as well as an outfit called Inovagent Cell Phone Repair in Maryland. Disclosure: I work for Inovagent.

Do NOT send it to Apple. This replacement is fairly easy to do. YouTube has tutorials. DigiExpress.us and repairsuniverse.com have the right parts (like new screens) and live chat to help you.
