I replaced the charge port/mic/earbud port on my wife's iPhone 5 & now it won't sync or work with her iHome. It does charge when plugged into the wall charger though??

Sounds like a low quality replacement part. It may be manufactured differently just enough to be incompatible with the accessories. You could try and locate a better quality dock connector.
