White MacBook - Won't power boot up even with replaced battery

Have a 2007 model white macbook. About 2 years back its battery went dead, and macbook could only run on Power Chord. I didn't use it for almost an year, and now bought a new battery, but even when I put it in, macbook won't boot up.

- I have tried SMC Reset

- Not booting up with power chord alone (or with battery in new/old both)

- Not booting with only battery (old/new)

- New battery has charge (shows 4/5 bars)

- The power chord shows green light when put on (but does not turn to amber at all)

- Tried cleaning the Magsafe point on macbook too, there is no dust and debries.

What should I do? Please help.

I am in India, and only support here is Apple Authorised Resellers (no Apple store here yet).
