Can't slide to open

replace screen. now I can't slide to open. What component controls this action? Is it one of the plug ins? One of the plug ins had a metallic tape connecting it to the old face. It ended up sticking to itself. Does that tape contacting the plate serve any purpose?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Only can't slide open? If your whole screen can be touched or only the area to slide open?

Hi Joe, is it not possible to reverse the digitizer plug which is the one that controls the touch. The plug for the digitizer is the one on step 13 of the Repair Guide. If you fully plugged it in and it still doesn't work, try doing a hard reset just in case by holding the power and home button together for 12-15 secs.

If you still have no luck after that the digitizer on the replacement screen you got might be bad.

Can you tell us how you fixed the slide to unlock not working it could help some1 else..

The vertical lines are some times caused by the lcd connector not being fully seeded
