Ipad Mini LCD has massive decrease in resolution after new digitiser

After replacing a smashed digitizer the LCD has suffered a massive decrease in resolution. I thought it might be the new digitiser, but when I tested against the original, the resolution wax still rubbish.

I haven't been able to fix after cleaning both the digitiser and LCD connectors on the main board, and have no other thoughts. I followed the guide to the most part, and was shocked when I put it all back together.

I have photos but am unsure how to post them.

You'll have to rule out damage to the LCD itself with a new one. Buy one you can return in case that is not it.

If problem is same with new LCD, then post here and we can help troubleshoot

That definitely looks LCD related, did it look that bad before you replaced the digitizer? Whatever caused the LCD to break probably did a number on the screen itself and that's probably why it looks like that. I'd recommend what jessabethany said and try a new LCD, if that doesn't fix it than you might be looking at motherboard damage.

Yep, it turned out to be a faulty LCD. it confused many because a faulty LCD will normally just die. This one didnt.

Leasson learnt.
