blank screen after replacement.

I was given an iPhone from a friend and all it needed was a new screen. After replacing the screen and hours of trouble shooting the screen is still blank. Any help? It beeps and vibrates and I hear the screenshot click but the screen is just blank. Also I've checked all connections and they are on right. I would go to the local repair shop but they charge over 200 just to look at it so thats out of the question.

It sounds like the lcd is damaged if it's bleeping this is the problem

You will need another.
