No touchscreen after new screen...?

Need some opinion. I have no extra iphone 5C screens to try, I got a new screen and put it on the 5C, there is no touch. I reset it and it still doesnt work. All parts are there. Before, it wouldnt startup due to the "NAND Camera flex" error, but I got past that and now there is no touch. Any idea? I searched but there is nothing. I also reseated the digitizer connector to no avail. Connector looks perfect. Any ideas? Thanks guys

Have you pressed the IC and bent the flex cable at first before installing the new screen like the picture? If not, it's easy to damage the IC or flex cable when replace a new screen, also the connectors are easy to get loosen. So maybe you can have a try to do like that.

I will, thanks Sophia. If this doesn't work, all I can hope for is that the screen I got was defective.

If the connections are seeded correctly yes it's a defective screen

Yeah, I'll have to confirm that somehow and maybe get a refund. I bent the digi cable like mentioned and touch still doesnt work. I'm pretty sure it's because the camera/proximity flex isn't plugged in. (I cannot plug it in because I get the non-responsive NAND error upon startup) so I might have to buy a new front facing camera/proximity sensor flex before proceeding.

The camera flex has nothing to do with the touch function..

Your screen is faulty simple as

Well if the camera flex has the power to shoot an error and not allow the phone to power up...I would assume it would also retire the use of touchscreen...also the phone EMI sheild is missing one screw...ty

I may have a solution. I've seen a fair share of 5C screens unresponsive after assembling. I took my heat gun, turned it on lowest setting, heated the connections on the motherboard for about 10 seconds, 8 inches away, and also heated the connections on the screen assembly the same amount of time. I connected them, and I didn't have any white lines and the screen was responsive. I'm not responsible for any damage if you attempt to do the same thing. Just suggesting something new ;)

And what would this do? I guess there is no hurt in trying. I will keep trying until its fixed or until it sells. Thanks for your input.

Don't even try what neguy is suggesting what a load of nonsense

If you still have the screen and think it's the camera flex just don't plug the camera in and try touch I test all my screens prior to installation without camera flex and touch always works

I tried with no avail. Touch still doesnt work. Seller said his screens are always tested prior to sale.

New problem though. No power at all. Unplugged everything and still doesnt work. Ideas?

I would suggest to get a second screen to test with. Because right now your are gonne look at things what have nothing to do with the actual problem (prob. a broken screen). You might end up getting frustrated and damage something seriously bad (like some connector on the logic board) Also the lcd and digitizer connectors don't like to get connected and disconnected every now and so :')

Where did you buy the screen if I may ask?

I bought the screen off of eBay. Not cheap china crap. No good either.

New problem, no power at all...new battery. What the heck...:(
