will not power on, orange charge lite comes on when charging

when the psvita is plugged in the orange charging lite comes on and flashes, after about 5-10 min it stays orange, nothing happens when you push the power button no mater how long you hold it, but the ps logo on the screen will lite up if you push the orange lite button, help
