Can I replace the graphics card

I had the hard drive replaced at a Mac repairer and it worked OK for a while until the screen ceased to work. I took it back and was told that the problem was the graphics card and that it could not be replaced and they could not fit a used one.

So the iMac is now useless - anything I can do to fix it?

Answer this question I have this problem too

The graphics card is integrated into the logic board.

Tell us what you are getting on the screen. Open it up, (it's very easy to do ), and examine the cans (capacitors) on the logic board look to see if they are swelling and/or corroded.

Thank you. When I switch on there is a blank screen with the Apple logo, this disappears and a blue screen is all that appears, along with the cursor. The repairer had told me that it would need a new mother board, (if that is the same as a logic board).
