White screen after screen replacement. No home button

Okay so I bought a 16gb ipod touch for $4 with a broken screen and bought a replacement for $22.

the ipod worked fine before swap. I couldn't turn off the ipod but once I got the sceen on I tested it and it turned on and worked fine. I started to put the screen back together then I tried it again and It didn't work. Black screen and iTunes didn't recognize.

Started messing with it and I the white screen now. I tried the home button thing and didn't work. I believe my home button is broken also. But I don't have that little spring in nor did I have the little bracket in. but I didn't have it in when I tested it. and it worked fine. Someone please help

Has nothing to do with the spring or bracket try a hard reset my holding power and home button togeather at same time for 7 seconds then let go of the home button.. Make sure screen connection is seeded correctly
