Random Shutdown when iPhone placed on the Mac

So my macbook is pretty new and its been doing this since i got it.

Everytime i place my iPhone on my Macbook it randomly shuts down, nothing gets lost or anything but its still really annoying when I'm in the middle of working or watching something.

So if anyone knows why this happens, or how to fix it, please let me know

cheers

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Is your system powered by its power adapter? Or is this only happening when you plug into a given USB port? Try a different port.

No its not even plugged in, it shuts down when i put my phone on the laptop... Just lay it on it

Just to be clear here: You are not plugging in your iPhone to power it or sync it to your laptop. You just place the iPhone on top of the case of the running MBP some where on the wrist rests (not on the keys or the trackpad) and this causes the laptop to shut down. Is that correct?

This isn't a April fools joke is it? If not you'll need to bring your gear to an Apple Store as you clearly have an EMI emissions leak in one or both systems which clearly is effecting one.

Wait.. You are claiming that your laptop is turning off when you physically place your Iphone onto your laptop? Not plug it in?
