Can't complete screen repair

I am on my second replacement screen. after successfully replacing a broken screen, when attempting to get the screen completely back together, I broke the replacement screen.

I now have the second replacement screen in, and still can't get the unit to close up tightly. I got new adhesive and applied it, but the screen won't seat correctly.

Any ideas?

the chrome sides of the replacement screen? Can the clip that gets added back to new screen possibly be slightly off? That should hold screen in, correct?

I broke it again. Second replacement.

No not the screen the iPod chrome itself where the screen fits into check that the corners are bent in slightly. You don't need to replace the metal bracket if you don't want to but it will hold the screen in better if installed..

If installing with it fit the top of the screen first but put screen at a little angle to clip the metal bracket in you no what I mean..

The chrome sides bend in slightly when damaged occurres these will need straighted out and screen seeded in gently to make sure of a perfect fit there is no rush just bend and check if fitting correctly if not bend again..

Once your happy it's going to fit then you can put the adesive on hope this helps

You have a bent frame. Find the defect and make it 100% square--I use a Dremel tool and just file it down.
