Think its docked, volume bar is gone.

I bought a iphone 4s very cheap, because the sound dosn't work. Ring sounds works perfectly. The volume bar is gone. I did some re-search and i found out the phone think that it's connected to a dock. I have tried many diffrent things. I cleaned my dock and blew into it. But it did not fix it. The water indicator is red so it has been water damaged. So i was wondering if replacing the dock connector with a new one will fix the problem?

Yes. The replacement part is iPhone 4S charging port assembly with flex cable, lower microphone, and connector for home button flex.
