Touchpad not working after the phone fell

It fell 2 feet and after it the touchpad was not working.Im still getting notifications and the screen is opening normally and even the speakers are working i just cannot get the touchpad to respond.What should i do?

Options

Open the phone to check if the digitizer cable get loosen. re-plug it and see if it works.

If not, i suppose you should repair it or replace a new digitizer.
