Kindle Fire HD stuck on logo screen

Hi i am a beginner in this so please try to be less technical :) . When i turn on my kindle fire hd it is stuck on the logo screen and continuously does it's shining thing. I would like to know how to fix it please. By the way i have a mac if i need a computer. :) THANKS
