Shutter cable control for Nikon D70

Hi All,

I want to install a 2.5mm jack for cable controlling the shutter of my d70. Is it possible to connect it directly to the main shutter button or is there another trigger point that I can connect the cables to?

Options

Nikon makes a few different remote release units. Why do you want to create your own here?

You can also find quite a few 3rd party units that will also work as well (a little cheaper).

Thank for your reply.

I have ML-L3 Wireless Remote Control for D70 but there is no wired solution for this models till D70s. I can control it through usb for timelaps but I also want to control the shutter directly for high speed photograph and others maybe.
