No output or input devices found?

My late 2010 macbook air sounds stopped working. I go to sound and it says no output device found nor input. I reinstalled the software and it didn't get fixed. I booted Im safe mode and still no sound. Help!!! I also did the command+control+p+r+m and it didnt work nothing works!!

Dropped or liquid spill - shorted port?

As a work around you can use a USB dongle (aka adaptor) which should be identified, as USB. USB audio is separate from digital and analogue audio.

If your system profiler doesn't see the speakers, software reinstallation will do nothing for you. Open it up and reconnect the speakers to the logic board. Here's how: MacBook Air 13" Late 2010 Right Speaker Replacement
