i had a rca tablet and the battery on it quit working and it wont even charge anymore

by

My rablet gets hot regardless of amount of usage, or type of usage. I've even unplugged the chargeing cord, and the tablet still continues to heat up. I turn the hot area in another direction and the opposite area then gets hot as well. I'm exteremly baffled.

Suzanne. So, if your tablet gets hot when it's charging, that's normal. When it's charging, the battery is getting power but also releasing it at the same time, so the battery will heat up because theres twice as much going on in there. If it gets hot whether it's charging or not, that's most likely the CPU. If it is, then when you use an app that uses a lot of recources (Like a 3D Game) it will get hotter, but it shouldn't overheat.

Upper Left corner is where the battery starts its charge... or discharge... I'm guessing that theres a short in the battery. I'd send it in to get looked at

But its not getting hot while its charging. It could just be sitting there and I pick it up and its reallly hott. Cause I thought about it being something with the battery so I checked while it was charging and it was cool as a cucumber. Thats why im so confused as to whats going on.

by

Well, then your battery doesn't idle when you lock it, it's still discharging when you're not using it. Are you experiencing less battery life? If so it's most definitely the battery... Get it replaced!

As far as I can tell the battery is fine. Ill watch it closer the next few days though. Thank you.

actually samsung galaxy tab gets hot really quick due to usage of RAM and cpu so its normal . it is not mad for heavy use just to store pics listen to music and to play a small game and when u do something which takes alot of RAM and cpu the tabs left side will get ,infact the cpu is on the left.

I think when your continually using the tablet for gaming or installing stuff it does get hot just let it cool down and try not to use it to much

In my opinion put yor tablet on charging in that room which is cool don't keep it near the room which is very close to kitchen as it could be heated by steam from kitchen!

Actually its cuz of the way u use it. If u leave it in charge and use it, it will get hot. U have to be careful. Use it for about an hour and let it cool. If it still gets really hot, don't use it and power it off

Chances are the battery is getting warm. Try replacing it.
