It was dropped and has a broken hinge pin from the display!

The display still works but the drop broke the left hand hinge pin out of the display; snapped the cheap pot metal and all. Am I stuck buying the entire display assembly. This is still in warranty but of course they won't cover this!

If you've broken the frame (which is Aluminum, not pot-metal) then the frame must be replaced (a major DIY project). If you've broken a clutch (Apple speak for hinge) that would have to be replaced. If you've also damaged the Display cover that too would need replacement.
