while cleaning the screen glass cleaner got behind the display and made a stain in front of the backlight. How can I clean it off or will it eventually evaporate

I think the stain is permanent… never put liquid on a computer… never use anything more harsh than a damp (not wet) cloth with just a dot of dish soap, clean with clean damp cloth, polish dry.
Stripping to backlight… major DIY lots of chances to permanently damage the machine… advanced dIY replace the screen (age and cost may make this economically untenable)
