What are you using to format it? Disk Utility shouldn't have an issue with that model SSD.

Chosen Solution

Neither. It must formatted in GUID to work with Mac OS X.

I use MS-DOS on a Macbook to format all external mini disks and they work just fine and also work transferring data to Windows.

One other possibility - some new disks come in NTFS: This is a more recent Windows' default file system than DOS. Windows can read and write to NTFS-formatted drives. OS X and Linux can only read NTFS-formatted drives, not write to them (format)—unless you have a third-party driver like NTFS-3G installed.

To claifiy my answer if you are going to use a Disk as a BOOT SOURCE FOR MAC it must be formatted in GUID.

Did it and works Well as external With external bay can format

Clear reinstall my partition under Any format Mac/fat32 anything

But inside i got all kind of problem Like he doesnt

Allow to write error-50 or cannot format or doesnt

See drive at all im good in computer and know

How to remove partition erase drive completely

Using either terminal With command diskutil or

Disk utility in Spotlight

So what i think IS that thé Sshd 1 to. IS not

Support internally by my mbp 15" late 2011 the internal connection

For cd drive IS NOT appropriate to handle another Sshd maybe regular hd

But not ssd or sshd

So i purchase this for nothing except using

Super duper to have a backup external

Drive USB bootable if my internal 750g

Crashes.... VERY DISAPOINTED of my purchase

It could be the optibay - not the SSD. OR the cable for the Optibay. What exactly did you purchase from iFixit... and have you contacted iFixit customer service about it using the link at the bottom of this page?
