WiFi range too small
My iPad wifi recognized zero public networks at my work location, while mi iMac recognized about nine. I returned it and bought a WiFi 3G, but the same problem remains. All my colleague's phones recognize several public networks but not the iPad. Zero. At home, with my network, he recognizes it, although with a much poorer signal than my iMac. Has anyone had the same problem?

Yes this is a known problem, although Apple has stated they intend to work on it, no one knows why or when anything will happen. The fact probably is simply that it has limited wi-fi capabilities, if it was a simple bug they'd probably have pushed an update weeks ago.
So basically you just have to sit tight and wait right now.
