I have a question about the hard drive replacement guide instructions
On step 10 of the hard drive replacement guide, it says "Before disconnecting the thermal sensor cable, take note of its orientation. It is extremely important to reinstall the connector reversed from the current orientation so the fans will not run at full speed."
To me that says the thermal sensor cable should be replaced in the opposite orientation than when we removed the cable. It seems counterintuitive to replace it opposite the way I found it.
Am I misunderstanding the instruction? Or should I really flip the orientation when I re-install? The replacement drive is on order so I've got a few days before I'll be reinstalling.
Thanks.
Is this a good question?
