Hi,on my imac g5 A1076 the video brightness on the lcd is dim.Even when I turn the brightness up all the way it is still somewhat dim instead of very bright.Is this a weak inverter or lcd screen going bad?

Could be either, but the easier cheaper fix to start with would be an inverter board.
