There is power but I can't move the slide to advance?

I replaced my mini Ipad digitizer glass. I returned all the old part in the new digitizer glass. I have power and picture on the screen but I can't move the slide point to move on a new screen?

Options

First thing to do is double check the connections. Those zif connectors are difficult. If you're still having issues it sounds like a defective part.
