dropped and shatter the digitizer and LCD will not come up, I can hear the ipad beep when I plug it in. The alarm that I had set is still beeping so I think the board is still good. I replaced the LCD and digitizer but the LCD just doesn't power up.

Try hard reset--power button plus home for 10 sec.
If no, power off. Reseat LCD connector carefully. Power on.
If no, try lifting board from battery pins by unscrewing it --follow a guide to remove motherboard.
If no, look for faint image under strong light--if you can see image, send out iPad for backlight repair.
