I don't know a 100% solution for that matter.

but what you could do is restoring the nano with itunes.

if the wsod appears - make a hard reset - press and hold the menu and select button until the apple logo appears - that way it should work again.

i have a nano 3g since yesterday - it worked without any problems (made a "drain the battery empty" session - the battery lasted for 25,5h nonstop playing) - but 10 minutes ago, while charging - the wsod appeared - after the reset it charges again normally.

i don't know how often this problem appears - so maybe you have to live with it

Place it in the fridge for 5 minutes. For some reason, the screen get hot and the LCD overheats. Don't know why. It seems to work ok after that. It must get cold to reset. Room temp will not work.

Try it, it worked for mine.
