iMac intel front panel removal

History

What is holding down the front glass on a iMac A1225-2211 iMac 8.1 24"

Iunderstand you just remoce the glas by lifting it up. looking to find out what holds the glass in place and where the contact points are?

The glass is held by 14 magnets, thats why you only need 2 suction caps to remove it

This is all I use, and for only $2.99 even! Best priced tool I have ever bought, use it for more than just iMac glass.

Even easier, I used a small piece of clear packing tape. Worked fine and left no residue. The amount of force needed is very small, just be careful not to break the pins by rotating the glass as you pull it off.

I just used a couple of suction cups that were holding our soap dish to the shower wall. There is a guide at Installing iMac Intel 24" EMC 2267 Glass Panel.
