My graphics card went, how can I fix it?

I have a 21.5-inch iMac, 3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo,4GB 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM,1TB Serial ATA Drive and a ATI Radeon HD 4670 256MB graphics card. My video card has stop working. When I boot my computer up I get the sound and a with screen flash but then my display goes black. I can sign in just by memory and play music just by hitting play on the key broad. So I know everything els is in tack but the video card is fried. How can I fix this on my own. Is there parts out there so I can do a DIY.

First lets be sure its the GPU Vs the display its self.

Do you have access to an external display you can hookup? If you do does it work?

With a flashlight held at an angle to the face of the display (a poor mans backlight) can you see a faint outline of your desktop and the files you have on it?

Are you getting any error beeps?
