Just the glass - touchpad is cracked

Hi --

Thanks for this site!

I dropped and broke the glass on my Ipad Mini.

If the touchpad (the glass) is all that is broken on my ipad mini, do I have to replace the LCD also?

Thanks,

Beth

The LCD and glass/digitizer are separate components, so no, you don't have to replace the LCD if its still functioning properly. I successfully followed the ifixit guide to fix mine, best of luck for you to do the same.
