So you have replaced the screen assembly with a new one?

If this is the case I recommend either taking it to a repair shop to attempt to repair the water damage, or try repairing it on your own.

georgeespinoza, the first thing you want to do is to clean your phone. You may not have any corrosion (yet) but you may have some short circuit. The very first thing I suggest is to properly clean your phone. Use this guide to clean your iPhone. It was written for a 3G but all the points apply to your phone as well. These guides will help you disassemble your phone. Check for broken, missing or charred components. Remember to definitely replace the battery. Since your screen display assembly works in another phone, I suggest that you check the digitizer flex, and the connectors, for any damage/corrosion. If none of that makes a difference , you could have a failed touch screen IC. Hope this helps, good luck.
