Is it possible to install two 3.5" drives in 2007 iMac?

I've been doing some research about replacing the optical drive with my current hdd and adding an ssd to the original hd slot.

So far I have found that adapters for the optical drive only accept 2.5" drives. Both of the drives I want to use are 3.5". Is it possible to fit 3.5" drives in the hd slot and optical drive bay? If so, do I need a special part to adapt the optical drive to the hdd?

Many thanks!

NO - the space available is for a 2.5 drive there isnt' an extra inch to be found. study the guide for HD replacement... I have not found a 2008 3.5 optical drive kit for an iMac. If you have one that may be possible there's more room.

I suggest you find the optibay kit first, then the drive that fits it.
