LCD screen is cracked and needs to be replaced

The LCD on my 20 GB iHP-120 mp3 player suffered a fracture and the display no longer works. Aside from the display, every other function still works impeccably.

The item is out of warranty. I emailed customer service about a replacement LCD spare compatible to be installed but they were not helpful.

I need a LCD compatible to be installed and instructions for dismantling if possible.

I am grateful for any help or suggestions.

i've googled a bit and found a few informations

the screen from the ihp1xx/h1xx series is the same

the models differed only in the hdd capacity (the name was changed due to a legal conflict with HP)

the disassembly guide is on misticriver - bt the page is slooooooowwww and the changed some stuff - so here will come the page from the google cache - be fast and save the content: click

depending on your location there are ways to get the lcd - go the easy way and buy a dead iriver to use the lcd - there are 2 on ebay germany # 170476562778 & 260592192485
