Why is my screen very yellow?

Hi guys, just wondering whether any of you have come across this issue, my old laptop which I have tried to revive works perfectly fine except for some minor issues with the battery (thanks to the readers who have posted on here about this) but I was wondering why my screen had a very yellowy tint to it and whether there is a cheap viable solution to this.

I would appreciate any help I could get.

Connect to an external monitor. If you have the same colorcast it's the VGU/VGC not much you can do about that other than replace the logic board. If the color is fine the problem is with the internal video chain... most likely the display screen itself.

Screens can be replaced.

Only you know if the color is bad enough to warrant replacement, and, how much you're willing to spend to do so. If you're technically competent (can read & digest directions) you could obtain the needed tools and part, study a guide, and DIY. If not you - then find someone and get a price quote first.
