New LCD doesn't seem to fit, also, touchscreen not responding.

My girlfriends little brother dropped his new ipod 4 touch and the screen was broken.

I bought a new screen but after following the guide and putting it back together it doesn't seem to fit. It seems to be stuck in the top-middle but after reopening it an such everything seems to be in place.

Also, when i tested the screen it did not respond to touch.

Some tips please!

Make sure you have the touch cable connected probobly and when fitting the screen you might have to bend out the corner that has been dented.. Have do this many times with pliers

This is a common error with self repairs.

What's happening is that the flex cable for the digitizer is folding the wrong way and folding over the edge of the metal shield inside. Open it up slightly and use a spudger to go in from the side and manipulate the flex cable so that it concertinas the correct way and upwards not downwards.
