Replace LCD flex without separating LCD and digitizer?

I found a tear in the flex cable for the LCD while doing a repair on the i545 verizon galaxy s4. Before I start taking the front assembly apart is there anyway to remove the cable without having to seperate the glass and digitizer from each other and the case?

short answer is, You broke your flex to the LCD and the flex is not repairable well at least for the average joe. Its best to buy a new LCD display.

You can't. Once that cable is broken, it's broken. Move on and get a new lcd.
