exactly Half trackpad works

After changing my keyboard due to coffee spill My 1304 MBA is working perfect except one thing. only half my trackpad is working, exactly half, the left hand side.

I have tried to reassemble the main cable that i took apart for the keyboard change but it didn't help.

Has anyone encountered such a thing?

P.s trackpad button works fine and there were no coffee spills anywhere near the trackpad...

Options

Either some of the coffee got wicked up between the layers on one side altering the capacitive factor or you damaged the ribbon cable. In any case you'll need to replace the trackpad. It's not repairable.
