Do I have to replace the entire display assembly?

The glass on my MacBook Pro 13" Mid 2012 display is cracked. The LCD panel appears to be unharmed. Is it possible to replace just the glass?

The repair guide only shows removing the Display Assembly. Does it have to be replaced as an entire Assembly?

Yes, you can replace just the cover glass.

Its a bear of a job on the newer systems as everything is glued together.

You'll find getting the iOpener will help in softening the glue.
