I took apart my iPod touch and now it wont turn on?

History

I took apart my iPod touch folling the teardown guide and now it wont turn on i have a gold part I cant find out where it goes does any one know this is my only form of music and id like to have it back. thanks in advance for your help.

sorry - i didn't fout that part in any of the teardown pictures i've seen on google.

but as for the main problem - i think it would be a good start di disassemble it again and look at the connectors, check them and assemble it again - that would make the most sense at first

well i have it still doesnt work the back case is really loose i tried to get the battery off but i stopped half way through it was to hard to get off

hmm - that does not sound good - but the battery should get a little bit easier out than the first time

I think i fount the problem the black cord in between the power button and the wifi card has been damaged just ever so slightly what is the best way to fix this?

What cable do you exactly mean (maybe you should post a link to the teardown - then i could figure out a way to fix it)
