Can I replace front panel on iPhone 3GS from my 3G?

History

I got my new iPhone 3GS the other day and dropped it, sadly enough the front panel glass or what it is got cracked quite alot.

Is it possible for me to replace the front panel on my 3GS with the one from my 3G?

Unfortunately, the front panel from the 3G is not cross-compatible with the 3GS and vice versa.

The pin connector to the 3g and 3gs are 100% different. You will need to purchase an iPhone 3Gs Glass Digitizer either from iFixit or from some other source. Make sure you don't get cheap copies. Spend the extra couple of bucks and get the OEM screen. You'll be glad you did. I may also recommend a case. :)
