Why won't my Shanghai Shenke SL50QT-7 50CC moped accelerate?

I bought a Shanghai Shenke SL50QT-7 50CC moped for $600. had a problem getting full acceleration on it, like if you gassed it too hard from stop, bogs down fast, if you give it the gas too fast while moving, it bogs down and wants to die, so i drove it for a little while trying to figure it out, couldn't, one day i was driving, turned around a corner start going up to about 15 mph then died, complete shut down, now when i go to start it all it dose is make a click sound on the one round part with the main power cord running to it looks like, and some thing else, i don't have a electric tester. and help would be sweet thank you!!

The click sounds like you are describing the a.starter or b. sellonoid , probably from a dead battery, i am not sure how those systems work, by that i mean if it has a fuel injector, or carb. But the part about you lollygagging the throttle and it wanting to bog down could be any of the following or a combination of two or more together. 1. Your air to fuel mixture is not right, causing to much air in the motor when you gag it, a simple screw adjustment could fix that. Or 2. it might, I say might in a longshot manner) could be your battery is either dead or dying, low on distilled water only if you refill (check it, then charge it, if low ) check to see if it turns over.)new battery would e the est option. But the other should work for now, if thats the issue. Not enough volts can cause bogging down as well as click, thats the only reason I think it possibly could that. 3. Cut or old, bad plug wire that is allowing the spark to jump with a load on it. 4.) timing could be off. You might be hearing the governor, if you lollygag a moped that has governor on it, that's what it is supposed to be doing. 5.) could be a cracked, loose of bad fuel line, or vacuum line, this is at the top of the list of things to check once you get it to crack. When you gag it, the sudden increase of air and fuel pressure causes the line to collapse, of draw air through the crack. Does the moped idle nice and smooth? Accelerate smooth? Maintain steady smooth ride at one speed? 6) clogged fuel filter. 7) cracked or bad spark plug 8) how fast is it supposed to go? If it does near that speed just fine, i would guess it might be the governor kicking in when you try and exceed its designed limitations. I think you have lose connection to the starter or starter selinoid gone bad, and the governor is kicking in. Sounds like a wire wiggled loose causing it to die, look for a wire to tighten up.

well theres a messs of wires ( wiring harnest) alike all taped and clamped from factoy, im going to to to sodder all connections that are wire to wire so i know those will be good, i took out the spark plug and it looked kind dirty, wire brushed it, also no spark, it looks good but when i took it all a part i got most of it put back except for few plugs i got mixed up on the wireing harnst, but im looking up a online manual for the ped so i know where to plug them back right, QUSETION i do thave my starter at all any more what sould i do with the 2 wires that go to that? looks like a black or ground and the red withe the screw in it?

also batter is brand new, it idels only at a high rev, i had to turn the screw up so much of a high rev the wheel spins when its not on the ground, most of the time just to speed up starting prcess i spray starting fluid quick shoot in the pooch as i say ( in air cleaner line to the carb) and it would fire up, but i want to strip its all to basics removing all lights, turn singles, just battery, ing, carb sensor, spark plug, and the alutnantor wires. sorry my spelling sucs lol

I had a similar issue. Turned out to be the fuel pump. Was dirty and not letting enough fuel through. To test, unhook fuel line from carb, try and crank bike. If no fuel come out of the line your pump is not working.
