Battery Replacement Gone Wrong: Screen Error with 2 Beeps
This question is archived. No new answers are allowed, and only the question's owner may edit it.
I successfully soldered in a replacement battery this weekend. When I reconnected everything and plugged it into a charger, my screen lit up with a straight horizontal line across and beeped twice. If i leave it plugged in, it keeps beeping twice every couple of minutes.
I've done a little reading on it, and most people say it's a display (the lcd) error, or something is grounded out (nothing was wrong with my display before replacing the battery. I've taken plenty of pictures of what it looks like inside if anyone knows what to look for with this error.
NOTE: It looks like the red and black wires are soldered backwards, but they are looped under each other and do not touch (the loop of green electrical tape further protects that).
I noticed you never got an answer to this. Are you still having this problem?
