replace ssd on this iMac 20"

I want to replace my old hard drive with a new ssd.

I can remove the old and insert the new inserting it with this adapter or not?

looks like it should be low profile enough to fit in the same space as the regular HDD

I have replaced my 320HHD in my 2210 Imac with a 240GB SSD using the mounting plate that came with the SSD. There is plenty of room in the drive bay to instal the SSD. Mount the SSD in the mounting plate, hook it up and using double sided tape I mounted the plate vertically in the drive bay. Closed up the Imac and it has worked fine ever since.
