keyboard - can I use keys from another MBP?

Hi,

I bought MacBook Pro 13" retina in Germany - the reason is price. Only Cons is german keyboard.

I swaped keys Y and Z but I've got some more which are different in german.

I'd like to buy new keyboard without topcase and replace keys, and here comes my question:

can I buy keyboard from another MBP? maybe someone knows if any other mount will fit?

Best Regards and Happy 2013

As with all unibody MacBooks, the keyboard cannot be replaced separately from the upper case. The upper case for the Retina is different than any other MacBook to-date, as well.

Have you considered getting decals or a cover, rather than trying to replace the keys?

Hi David,

In this case I don't have to replace whole keyboard. I need to replace only few keys (black ones) even withoyt removing covers. For now I did it for keys: Z and Y - swapped them becouse they are in opposite positions in german layout.

BTW replacing keyboard in unibody is also possible - I didt it 3 times till now.
