hi, i replace the screen on a ipod touch and everything looked fine. the day after we where testing the ipod and while testing the dock connector the ipod powered off.
even itunes wont recognize it. now i have already tried a new screen and have replaced the battery. still nothing.
have read something about shorting the battery to ground but i have now idea how or why.
Is this a good question?

Try holding the power button and home button down at the same time for 15 seconds and release.

Have tried that already, no response at all
I would then check the connections again. Sometimes the cables are stiff and can disconnect easily.
Have checked and double checked the connections. Still no fix :-(
