Preventing further corrosion on coffee spill

HI,

I had a shop professionally clean my macbook of coffee spills, and they said there is still chance for corrosion since they couldn't get under every little part. I was just wondering if there was anything I could do to prolong my macbook corroding, or does it have a set lifespan?

I hope you didn't pay too much for that cleaning. . . you've done as much as you can at this point. Use the laptop until it fails there's no way to estimate when that might be (the best time to prevent corrosion is before you spill) .

So not using it would not help at all?

No, corrosion takes place through time and oxidation - using it might actually slow the corrosion as the inside gets hot through use, which could lower humidity.
